About our Role(s)
Simplot are currently seeking highly motivated candidates for seasonal casual opportunities to be engaged in the roles of Forklift / Production Operator (casual) at our Echuca based food processing facility. Our Echuca site produces Australia's favourite products under our Leggo’s, Edgell, Chicken Tonight, Raguletto and Harvest brands.
These seasonal casual roles will work across a variety of 8 hour shifts (day / afternoon / night) on a Monday to Friday work week. Commencing immediately, our season is scheduled to end in early September 2023.
Ordinary rates of $43.56 p/h (incl. of 25% casual loading) + shift loadings & penalties (where applicable)- Training in role provided

What You Will Do
Safe and effective forklift operations to move palleted and drummed products around a busy food production facility- Safe operations of fixed plant processing & packing equipment
- Manual handling of ingredients used in the production process
- Inspection of incoming product
- Provide assistance and support to other team members as required
- Participate in Continuous Improvement processes
- Contribute to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as standard
- Apply the operational standards and procedures
About You
Possess a 100% commitment to safety in the workplace- Hold a strong work ethic with a passion for working as part of a successful team.
- Current LF Forklift licence (mandatory) with solid operational experience is highly beneficial (forklift licenced candidates will be required to work in non-fork duties as part of the Production Team)
- Demonstrated experience within a food manufacturing facility will be highly regarded
- Be available for an immediate start
- Possess an eye for detail with problem solving ability
- Ability to work over a 5-day Mon-Fri roster inclusive of day / afternoon / night shifts
- A high level of both written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate user of PC systems (for learning / training / inductions etc.)
- Be willing to undertake a full pre-employment medical (incl. urine-based D&A screening) & participate in random on-site D&A testing
