Our client is an international building products and construction materials group with three strong divisions: the high-performing, well-positioned materials business.
As part of your new role, you will be:
We are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join the team as a Laboratory Technician working mainly in their construction products . Duties involves undertaking sampling of construction materials, preparation of test samples, testing and physical analysis of these samples, reporting of test results and maintenance of records.
- Conduct testing on product and recycled material accordance with laboratory work instructions, AS and RMS test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
- Prescribed calibrations and checks of laboratory test equipment.
- Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory Safety requirements of the Laboratory.
- Maintenance of the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.
- Other duties as directed by the Section Head and Laboratory Manager
We would love to talk to you if you have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in science, engineering or laboratory operations, (desirable)
- Previous laboratory experience in Construction Material testing (desirable)
- Knowledge of Australian and industry test methods
- Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
- Commitment to quality & safety
