About the Park

Byron Bay attracts some two million visitors to its sandy shores each year. To see what makes this beach holiday destination so alluring, stay amongst Ingenia Holidays Byron Bay’s 28 acres of parklands which fronts onto the famous Tallow Beach.

Being a short five-minute drive out of downtown Byron, you’ll be close enough to the action, yet far enough away to feel like you can truly unwind.

You won’t just share the park with human neighbours; it’s not uncommon to spot wallabies, echidnas, koalas, native birds and even whales during migration season from the park’s footprint

About the Role
We are looking for a Grounds and Maintenance Officer to attend to repairs and maintenance issues and maintain the appearance of the site. Working unsupervised, you will be highly motivated and capable of providing a high level of customer service. This position is approximately 20 hours per week with more hours on offer during peak periods. Weekend availability is essential.


Responsibilities

  • Administer all repairs and or maintenance to tools, equipment and machinery
  • Regularly check and attend to general repairs to accommodation and amenities; including fixing toilets and unhinged doors
  • Ensuring the sites are maintained and presented at a high standard at all times
  • Garden labour such as pruning, weeding, hedging and mowing are to be completed in a timely manner and of a high quality condition
  • Ensure the proper and safe use and storage of all materials, consumables and gardening equipment
  • Stripping of beds & removal of all linen from Villas as well as cleaning and maintaining exterior of Villa windows, decking, pathways etc.
  • Other tasks including emptying rubbish bins, and garden restoration

About You

  • Previous experience working as a handyman or in a maintenance position
  • Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Great customer service skills teamed with a positive attitude and a strong attention to detail
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster
